"Braint yw cael dy eni'n Gymro, nid â llwy arian yn dy geg, ond â chân yn dy galon a cherdd yn dy waed."
"To be born in Wales, not with a silver spoon in your mouth, but with music in your blood and poetry in your soul is a privilege indeed."Brian Harris

Built on the first day of production - 17th September 1953 she spent most of her life in Pennsylvania and Colorado in the hands of Tom & Shirley Macurdy. Since her return to the UK in 1991 she has enjoyed regular vigorous exercise as these pictures show :- MGCC badge

Autotesting at Silverstone Taking a bath! In action at Prescott Needs a bath! Kimber Trial '00

As you will see she's a "left hooker", as were 80% of the TFs built. We're active members of the South West Centre of the MG Car Club and together we've managed to win the annual South West Drivers Championship three times.

In 2001 we won the MG Car Club's Luffield Speed Championship.  To do so we amassed 94 out of a possible 96 points, beat ~ 100 other MGs, travelled nearly 4,000 miles competing at such venues as Prescott, Goodwood, Silverstone, Shelsley Walsh and Wiscombe.

In 2010 we won the Kimber Classic Trial, an annual event run by the South West Centre that includes some of the hills used by trials cars in the 1930's.
My navigator Mike Serle compiled short utube videos of the 2010 and 2011 events. The first test just involved coasting down a damp grassy hill as fast as possible before stopping astride the finish line, it gets much more interesting about 2mins in!

mgflash And the everyday car? Actually its an Audi TT Roadster following a run of MGTFs which in turn replaced a much loved 1995 MGF sadly damaged beyond economic repair by my wife. The old red F enjoyed a bit of competition too, winning the 1997 MGCC "F of the Year" and the MGF Class in the 1997  MGCC Speed Championship  mgflash
